What versions are available?
We offer standard versions that will fit in any Rema return tank. Custom versions are available.
Back to TopHow much heat will they produce?
Freeloader™ RTX output is limited by the amount of heat in the return tank as well as the water flow and incoming temperature. Typically, Freeloader™ RTX is used to preheat the water that goes to the water heater but with limitation, it can be used as your only water heater.
Back to TopHow is the system connected?
Freeloader™ RTX can be used in the following configurations.
All water going to water heater goes through RTX first. There is less load on the water heater. Some water goes through the RTX. This is used in system where you require a larger than ¾” pipe to supply the water heater. Freeloader™ RTX is used in a closed loop that heats a water tank. Water is circulated via a pump that is thermostatically controlled. Freeloader™ RTX supplies all hot water to the plant. A thermostatic valve modulates the water temperature leaving the RTX
Back to TopCan I use the Freeloader™ Waste Water Recovery System with RTX?
This is the best use of your resources. The Freeloader™ WWRS will provide preheated water to the RTX and increase its output.
Back to TopWhat about the float valve?
Freeloader™ RTX is designed to work with the standard return tank configuration. Simply attach the float once the system is inside the tank.
Back to TopWhat is included?
The system includes a new stainless steel end plate and Freeloader™ exchanger. Your float valve and ball are reused.
Back to TopWhen will I start to get hot water?
If you are using RTX to boost your system, you will have hot water right away but the savings will come once the return tank is at full temperature. For a system that used only RTX, you will not have hot water until the system is at full temperature.
