Calculate your cost savings with FreeLoader™! Easily compare a Chiller, Cooling Tower and FreeLoader™
| Cost of Electricity: ($) | Enter your cost per KW/Hr from your hydro bill. 0.08 is a good approximation. |
| Cost of Natural Gas/m³: ($) | If you know the cost for natural gas, insert it here. $.0.40 is a reasonable approximation. |
| Cost of City Water/m³: ($) | Enter the cost per cubic meter from your water bill (make sure to include the sewage fees). $1.75 is a good approximation. |
| Cost of Tower System: ($) | Enter the total cost of the system including installation. |
| Cost of Chiller System: ($) | Enter the total cost of the system including installation. |
| Cost of Freeloader™ System: ($) | Enter the total cost of the system including installation (excluding taxes). |
| Hours worked per week: | Enter the total hours per week that the plant is operational. |
| Hot water used factor: | Enter a number that approximates the hot water that is used vs. the total water used by everything excluding
the dry cleaning machine. If you use one hot wash and 4 cold rinses a factor of 0.2 which is 20% is reasonable. |
| City water/year used (m³): | Enter consumption of water if known. If not known, take water bill and divide by 1.64 (cost per unit of water) to approximate.
You can also manipulate this number until the COST PER YEAR in the City Water Operating Costs equals your bill. If you already have a Cooling Tower, manipulate this number until the "Total water consumed by plant per year" in the Cooling Tower operating costs equals your bill. |
| Tower Water Flow (USGPM): | This information can be found in the cooling tower manufacturer's documentation. |
| Total Tower System HP: | This information can be found in the cooling tower manufacturer's documentation. |
| Total Chiller System HP: | This information can be found in the chiller manufacturer's documentation. |
| Total Freeloader™ System HP: |
FL115U - 0.5 HP FL115S - 0.75 HP FL230D - 1.5 HP FL230D HC - 2 HP |
| Water used by DC machine: | This is the approximate factor that indicates the water that the dry cleaning machine consumes. A factor of 1 indicates that the dry cleaning machine uses all the water in the plant while 0 indicates that it uses none. Most plants without a water-saving system put about half the water through the dry cleaning machine therefore o.5 as a factor. |
| Water heater EF: | Enter the water heater EF (efficiency factor) for your equipment. Electric - 0.9 Gas - 0.69 Tankless Gas - 0.8 Steam - 0.5 |
| Water heater fuel type: | Select either Gas or Electric. If you are using steam from your boiler, select Gas. If your boiler is oil-fired, select
gas as well but our savings will be greater than shown. |
